Potted Flowers...Potted

Fhhhewww!  That was a project!  Planted and growing are now 110 pots planted with various flowers.  The goal is for them to be in full bloom by June so our reception will be overflowing with flowers!!  These will also be the favor for the guests to take home.  I bought pots of different sizes, shapes and colors!!  I am thinking it will be super cute!!  Our office just got a little smaller as all the pots are taking up the floor space  =)...these little buds need a warm home for the next couple months before making the journey outdoors.

Vegas Baby!!

For all of folks stateside that will not be able to be in Madrid for our wedding we will be partying it up in VEGAS on July 22nd to July 25th!!  We hope to see you there!!

Jars....ja ja ja ...jarsssssss!

Since our wedding will be in the evening we need light and a lot of it.  The plan is to hang some lanterns, but I want most of everything to be by candlelight.  So I have been collecting jars for months.  Friends from Madrid...I need jars, canning jars, or pretty colored ones, fat ones....  The jar light will be the main source, and it is going to be beautiful.

I plan on hanging as many as I can off of our trees.  Just some sand and a simple votive.....ahh I can´t wait!!

Sarahs Wedding Day Forecast

I have been a bit worried about having an outdoor wedding in June. I need the weather to be prefect!!  Instead of just hoping and praying I did a little research on what the weather has been like here the past few years.

2010 -  26*C or 79* F with .2cm of rain
2009 -  37*C or 99* F with no rain
2008 -  31*C or 88* F with no rain
2007 -  26*C or 79*F with no rain
2006 -  30*C or 86* F with no rain

So in my best guestimation this year the weather for my wedding day should be:
30*C or 86*F  with no rain.

That seems just perfect to me!!

Drum roll please........The theme is about to be announced!!!

Flowers!  Yes, yes flowers, flowers everywhere!

Xav is really excited about this.  It is going to be crazy floral overload and I couldnt be happier!  I am going to have a little planting party next weekend and plant my seeds in pods in the house and get them started so things can be transfered after the last frost and they can be in full bloom by June 18th.

Our table centerpeices will consist of grouped potted flowers that will also act as the wedding favor for the guests to take home.

This image is similar to what I will have, but I will be used colorful painted pots that are wrapped in a silk ribbon.

We are foregoing a traditional cake for something a little more ¨backyard weddingish¨ and American......CUPCAKES.  We will be having vanilla cupcakes topped in cream cheese frosting with flowers on top.

The name of the game is fresh, fun and colorful.
